Hard-fought, hard-won game against France gives USA Women's Basketball team their 8th consecutive Gold Medal. Our women played what felt like a chess match against the host country, and it took every move, countermove, and strategic effort to finally call it Checkmate!
The game went right down to the last made basket which, unfortunately for France, was a few toes too many inside the 3-point line. Galant effort put forward by France in trying to take down a consecutive Olympic Gold medal champion. The names may have changed over the years, but the United States women still show the hunger, hard work, and determination to be the best in the world on the hardcourt.
