Liars in Politics

 Here's a Raiderlegend Repost

A lie can run completely around a racetrack before the truth even has a chance to get down into its takeoff stance. Because while the lie has to perform all sorts of misleading antics (delays and distractions) to try gaining advantage in a race, the truth only needs stand up next to a lie, on its own integrity and merit, to be judged truthfully right.

When one sees, hears or knows the truth, there's no need to even watch a challenger race against it. For the truth is undisputable fact absent of falsehood. Let a lie find another tricky and clever lie to race against in order to gain a sense of approval. In a race against truth, time seems to always reveal the essence of lies and liars.

In an aware and enlightened society, the truth can simply stand for what it stands for in order to be recognized by truth seeking individuals; while the lie must desperately run around impersonating the truth, trying to appear authentic as it raises doubt about facts. And unapologetically, it knows what it is and what it aims to do; lie!

When confronted with a lie or liar, keep your head and not let it pull you into a fictional race. Over time, common sense and the truth will raise the curtain on falsehoods.

Targeting Biden Nominees

New Yorker Writer Blasts Effective Watchdog Group For ‘Targeting’ Biden Nominees

By  Gabe Kaminsky

Apr 17, 2022   DailyWire.com

A writer for The New Yorker argues in a recent article that a watchdog group vetting Joe Biden’s nominees is doing so with occasional “racial overtones,” and laments the nonprofit’s “obstructionism” of what critics call the president’s “radical” agenda.

The piece, published Saturday and written by Jane Mayer, is titled “The Slime Machine Targeting Dozens of Biden Nominees.” It criticizes the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) — a tax-exempt government oversight and research group — for seeking to “prevent the approval of all Biden Administration nominees.”

AAF has played an outsized role since Biden took office, researching and digging into the pasts of his nominees. The group’s work has contributed to preventing the appointments of Sarah Bloom Raskin to the Federal Reserve Board, David Chipman to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), David Weil to the Department of Labor, and others.

In her piece, Mayer claimed AAF is “run by conservative white men” who are “particularly focused on blocking women and people of color.” Cont'd

How To Silence Shameless False Republican Pedophilia Accusations

Clap Back at false Republican Accusation

We've all heard the saying, he's nothing but a "lying politician." Well, in today's political atmosphere a major political party has added to this phrase. Republicans are rewriting history by earning the title "Shamelessly Lying Politicians.

Kudos to Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow for slapping back at false Republican accusations labeling her a "groomer" of kids i.e., pedophile. Thanks to Senator McMorrow, a nasty, Republican lying tactic was neutered ineffective, revealing the real threat to America and its children. Shameless Liars!

Rachel Maddow reported Monday, on exactly where the Republican pedophile accusation strategy comes from, and its intention to smear its target with the most monstrous label imaginable. She exposes the strategy as a tactic then Russian Head of FSB, Vladimir Putin, implemented against a Russian historian in the late 1990's to silence facts revealing a mass grave site from a massacre during Joseph Stalin's infamous "The Great Purge."

It's believed that between 1936-1938, over 750,000 people were executed in Russia because they were seen as a threat to Stalin's dictatorship.

Senator McMorrow, in her takedown response to accusations by Republican state senator Lana Theis, is standing up for what 's right and decent in America and American politics; nobody should be allowed to slander another with knowingly false accusations, period. Lana Theis's motive for using the Putin tactic is simply money. She used it in a campaigning email. So, Lana Intentionally Lied to garner campaign support funds. And Lana has yet to apologize to Senator McMorrow or potential supporters. Shameless!

Declaration of Conscience Speech - Sen. Margaret Chase Smith (1950)

72 Years ago, Sen. Margaret Chase Smith gave one of the most influential speeches of her lifetime. In her "Declaration of Conscience," she warned her party against embracing fear, ignorance, bigotry, & smear. Her warning is just as important today as it was back then.

Warriors N'Synch

The #3 seeded Golden State Warriors are expected to win their first-round playoff series matchup against 6th seed Denver Nuggets. Although the Nuggets are missing major players due to injuries, they still have last season's league mvp, Nikola Jocic, aka..."The Joker." As it stands, the Joker is expected to win this season's mvp as well. He has proven himself a force in the NBA.

Last night the Warriors took the joker out of his comfort zone, making him a mere punchline in a joke gone bad. Golden State was simply too fast & furious on offense, and tenacious on defense for the Nuggets to contend with for four quarters.

This Warriors small line-up is a scary reminder of their "Run TMC" days with coach Don Nelson, Sr.  Those teams were competitive and very exciting to watch, but without a true big man, always fell short in the playoffs, delivering no championships. Difference today is they have the greatest basketball shooter ever in Steph Curry, an upcoming star in Jordan Poole, and an experienced championship pedigree built by its core players.

Sure, it's only the Denver Nuggets. And sure, the Warriors are expected to win this series. But the team synchronicity, athleticism and intelligence they've shown in two playoff games, makes it hard to deny their inevitable return to an NBA Finals; Phoenix Suns be damned!

Giants Sweep Guardians

Who Knew! The newly named Cleveland major league baseball team "Guardians" hosted the San Francisco Giants for the first time in 14 years.

The wintry Cleveland cold that greeted the west coast visitors seemed to affect the hometown team more, as the Giants completed a three-game sweep to stay tied atop the NL West division. Its 2021 all over again with the Giants and Dodgers sporting the best records in baseball.

Today's 8-1 Giants domination saw second baseman Thairo Estrada with four runs-batted-in on a most productive day. Estrada continues to pay dividends since the Yankees trade that brought him west last season. He's got power in his bat and it's making its presence felt early this season.

In case anyone is wondering just how the former "Indians" became the "Guardians" and why, know that it's a story with many facets. A complicated story that includes indigenous people's pain and pride, as well as the pride of a bridge named "Hope Memorial Bridge."

The bridge originally opened in 1932 as Lorain-Carnegie Bridge. It was renamed after a three-year concrete road replacement and renovation project (1980-83).

Although I wanted to credit Cleveland with renaming the bridge as a symbolic beacon of "Hope" for its citizens, the truth is it was named for the stonemason father of a great comedian from Cleveland, who the city is honored to have had as a native son. Harry Hope, father of Bob Hope. Who Knew!

Philp Yenyo has been waiting for 20 years to take his kids to a baseball game.

Now, thanks to the Cleveland Indians' recent decision to change their name to the Cleveland Guardians, the Native American dad can finally go.

"For them to be seen as human beings instead of a sports team mascot is really important," said Yenyo, of the MÄ“xihcah nation.

Carr still in the Driver's Seat

Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr has agreed to a three-year contract extension, keeping him in the driver's seat of this vaunted Raiders offense. Although I'm a little concerned about the offensive line, the unit overall has to be in the conversation when it comes to top NFL offenses

Waller, Renfrow, Edwards, Jacobs, Drake, and newly acquired Adams are all lethal offensive weapons at Carr's disposal. I expect to see the Raiders attacking defenses with speed, power, experience and unpredictable play-calling. The talent and hunger are there. Carr is there. Now, all they need do is execute.

Just Win Baby!

Mind-Blowing Temptations

THE SEA-BREEZE AND THE SCARF

Hung on the casement that looked o'er the main
    Fluttered a scarf of blue;
And a gay, bold breeze paused to flatter and tease
    This trifle of delicate hue.
You are lovelier far than the proud skies are,
    He said with a voice that sighed;
You are fairer to me than the beautiful sea--
    Oh, why do you stay here and hide?

You are wasting your life in that dull, dark room
    (And he fondled her silken folds)
O'er the casement lean but a little, my queen,
    And see what the great world holds;
How the wonderful blue of your matchless hue
    Cheapens both sea and sky;
You are far too bright to be hidden from sight,
    Come, fly with me, darling, fly.

Tender his whisper and sweet his caress;
    Flattered and pleased was she,
The arms of her lover lifted her over
    The casement out to sea.
Close to his breast she was fondly pressed,
    Kissed once by his laughing mouth;
Then dropped to her grave in the cruel wave,
    While the wind went whistling south.

Tokyo Groove

keyboard, vocal - Emi Kanazashi sax - Harumo Imai drums - MiMi bass - Juna Serita

Juna Serita & Rina Hoshino - What is hip? {twin bass version}

If you didn't know better, with your eyes closed, you'd swear you were listening to some soulful, jazzy, funk from America's 1970's groovy era. These gurls are breaking it down. They are not just playing the music, they're feeling the music, and letting it manifest through their soulful beings.

Imagine them getting down with Grover Washington's "Mister Magic" beat. Music is simply universal. No one group or individual has full ownership of music brewed in the soul. Well, there was this one funky bassist named Bootsy Collins, but that's a story for another time.
