The Raiders are showing some moxie after starting this season 2-7. They have rolled off three consecutive wins, with today's being over division rival L.A. Chargers. For the first time during the streak, they didn't need overtime to close out the game.
It was more of the same offensive weapons:
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was sacked five times, hit fourteen times, and saw black and silver jerseys around him all afternoon. He'll likely dream black and silver tonight. The return of cornerback Nate Hobbs played a role in the defense coming to life. Also, free agent pickup Chandler Jones tallied three sacks in the game, all in the first half. Up to today he had only 0.5 sacks all season. Something got into them boys today and they played like RAIDERSSSS!
Good win for the Raiders. Next up are the L.A. Rams on Thursday Night Football. Last season's Super Bowl Champions have fallen on hard times with a 3-9 record. They lost their sixth straight game today when the Seahawks took the lead with 36-seconds left in the game. It ended with an intercepted Rams pass.
