Moses Moody Coming to the NBA Mountain

 Exodus 24:12-18

12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the teachings and the commandments I have written for the people’s instruction.”

The Golden State Warriors drafted an NBA ready shooting guard capable of helping them reach the league mountaintop once again. He's got that Trae Young-ish hustle and shooting precision, seeming to never tire or waver.

Joining the Steph Curry led Warriors makes him another force opponents are gonna have to account for. His drafting just might be a biblical sign for Golden State; let my peeps go!

Cueto Controls, Giants Shutout Dodgers

Giants Blank Dodgers in Series Final

Pitcher Johnny Cueto and the San Francisco Giants shutDown the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0, after being shutout by their division rival the previous night. Cueto pitched 5.2 commanding innings as his team out-hit and outscored  L.A., taking two of three games.

With Brandon Crawford returning to the line-up, the Giants are beginning a return to form in offense and defense. Though they didn’t hit any homerun balls, their game confidence and dominance was once again on full display. Meanwhile, the Dodgers leave San Francisco trailing the NL West division leading Giants by 3 games.

Yes Giants fans, on a beautiful, sun-filled day in the bay, your Team came into their ballpark and showed why Resilience is their winning battle cry in 2021.

They came in with a fire and simply B-E-A-T LA.

Vosler Steals, Lamont Wade Hits, Giants Beat Dodgers....Again!

Game 4 of a divisional rival series between the two best teams in the National League goes to the San Francisco Giants.

Their 5-3, come-from-behind ninth inning win, should solidify this Giants squad as the "team to beat" in the 2021, race for a championship. I say this simply because the L.A. Dodgers have been labeled the team to beat since walking away with a 60 game, shortened season* 2020 World Series trophy.

If you weren't sleeping under a rock this week, you'd know that the Giants took three games out of four from the so called "team to beat," and many would say they shoulda' swept 'Da Bums.

As they say in boxing, "to be the champ ya gotta beat the champ." Well, the champ just got BEAT

They got beat at home, on primetime tv, by a winning team that gets no respect from national sports media and sports analysts. Media would rather talk about and praise major market teams in L.A, N.Y, Boston, and any town with millions of prospective viewers, while ignoring the obvious greatness of a team playing right before their lying eyes.

So ESPN, and all you Giants baseball haters' out there, Say Hello to the team that shocked the champ and continues to wear Major League Baseball's Best record in 2021.

Wilmer Flores Crushes Dodgers

Last night it was the Giants giving up a lead. Tonight they took away a lead and turned the tables on the hometown Dodgers. In a mid-season four game series between teams with the two best records in baseball, the San Francisco Giants have won games one and three and should've bagged game two.
With game four tomorrow night, the Giants can leave Los Angeles three games up in the standings, over their division rival.

The Giants are doing it with productive players filling in for injured starters. Somehow, second year manger Gabe Kapler is keeping the winning ship on even keel. By keeping a gauging finger on the pulse of this team, he continues to make more good decisions than bad.

Tonight, Second baseman Wilmer Flores, filling in for injured Brandon Crawford, took it deep in the top of the ninth inning against Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen. The home run crush put the Giants up 3-2, as they chased Jansen from the mound.

The visitors from Northern California scored one more before Tyler Rogers came in to shutdown three Dodgers batters straight; redemption for for his uncharacteristically off outing last night. Tonight, I give Kapler a nod for sending Rogers out to close, giving the submarine pitcher a much needed confidence reset.

Yes! Yes! Yes!   #ResilientSF

Tara Mechani

I took this picture of the artwork titled "Tara Mechani" in Jan., 2021, at a park in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. It reminded me of a similar piece of art that once graced a park on Treasure Island. Because I was trying for more of an "Attack of the 50ft Woman" photo shot, my picture really doesn't do her full, shapely, feminine figure and creativity justice.

With her many recycled mechanical metal parts captivating the naked eye up close, she is a beautiful and intriguing specimen to behold.

"Tara, is a figurative sculpture that entwines aspects of the ancient female Buddha, with characteristics of a futuristic female robot."

I'm sure there are plenty other pictures online that show more details of this wonderful piece of art.

I urge those who find this picture unique and expressive to browse the internet for other pics of Tara Mechani and the art of her creator, Dana Albany.

The Outlaw of Torn Review

 My 5 Star Amazon Review

An excellent read, well plotted with characters who think, say and do both honorable and villainous deeds. The story burns with the glow of a "mighty revenge"; one as dark and dastardly as that birthed in the classic novel "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas.  "The Outlaw of Torn" is as good a classic book as any to get kidnapped by.

You know you've read a great story when upon reaching the final pages, the dread of not returning to its engrossing environs prompts thoughts of re-reading it immediately or in the near future.

"And so the cruel hand of a mighty revenge had reached out and crushed another innocent victim." pg.193

SF Giants Throwback College Uniforms

I just Don't Like It! Since when does any underdog team, with a surprising league leading record midway through a season change uniforms? All true fans of any sport knows you don't change anything when your team is on a roll. That goes for players, fans and the front office of the organization.

Here we have the San Francisco Giants leading all of baseball in Win-Loss standings and now the organization decides to pitch an unlucky uniform change? Maybe if the Uni's carried some semblance of Giants past, or even SF Seals linkage, I might welcome their introduction.

But, at first glance, you'd think you're watching the Tennessee Vols college baseball team on the field.

No disrespect to the Volunteers of Tennessee, but these are the frick'in San Francisco Giants for Chrissake. Home of Mays, McCovey, Marichal and Mad Bum for crying out loud.

I don't know, maybe I have become one of those old-timers who has difficulty accepting change. For what its worth, I don't mind the 'man on second' extra-innings rule. But when a winning team goes against the baseball Gods gracious blessings by going off script, just to grease owner pockets, as the natives say; "Bad Juju."

I only wish the best for this exciting 2021 Giants baseball team as they hopefully continue to give me a season to remember. I will say, that I'll be first in line to purchase any post-season tickets should they earn the privilege to participate in this Fall Classic.

I almost didn't write this post for fear of bringing some "Bad Juju" of my own onto the team. But tuning into tonight's game and seeing my beloved Giants awesome Orange Friday jerseys replaced with cream-puff white w/ college orange lettering was just too damn sacrilegious to ignore. Bring Back the Orange!
