Raiders D. Carr Has Risen

Derek Carr has earned his place in the lore of gutsy, tough Raiders quarterbacks. Over his six year career with the Raiders, he’s been reviled and wished off the silver and black island by many a disgruntled Raiders fan. He seems injury prone at the worse of times, and Sports Talk media has counted him out almost every pre-season.

But the competitive SOB keeps coming back and proving why he deserves to drive the car. His leadership and competetitiveness are indisputable. Sure, he sometimes misses the big play, but he never stops fighting and has proven invaluable to the teams’ success.

Carr’s 2020 season was one of his best. His passer rating was in the top QB tier a few weeks and he had big games against Drew Brews and Patrick Mahomes (twice). He knows what coach Gruden wants and runs the offense like he wrote the playbook. In eight games the Raiders scored 30 or more points, and only twice scored less than twenty, winning one of those games. Give Carr a decent defense next season and watch the Raiders . . .

Just Win Baby!
