I post this video as a reminder and warning of exactly what former president trump is, and why he continues to be unfit to hold any position responsible for the protection of citizens. Imagine putting this man in charge of a daycare, a hospital, a school, a food processing plant, an airline, a gun shop, or again, lord forbid, a country with nuclear weapons.

“I see disinfectant, where it knocks [coronavirus] out in a minute—one minute—and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning,” Trump said at Thursday’s press briefing.

We all know people limited in their judgement, who should be kept away from dangerous objects for fear of their own safety as well as the safety of others. And we all know former president donald j. trump is not only limited in judgement, but unfit for any duty requiring critical thinking or rational responsibility.

It is said he experiences bouts of unhinged behavior when faced with truths unfavorable to him personally, whether real or imagined.

Those closest to him know and have seen what an unhinged donald j. trump looks and acts like. Yet, these so called "trumpists" continue feeding his delusional behavior, excusing it, labeling him the victim instead of the perpetrator of wrongdoings. None are willing to tell him the truth, making him accountable for disturbing and/or outright wrongs in his speech and actions. And there lies the crime!

The United States of America is not suffering a political party crisis. Instead, it's witnessing a cowered political party, caught in the clutches of a corrupt, crazed, tantrum-throwing tyrant. A tyrant who tends toward becoming "unhinged" when caught lying or attempting to corrupt.

"What I want to do is this. I just want to find, uh, 11,780 votes, which is one more than [the 11,779 vote margin of defeat] we have, because we won the state."

Why do You think former president trump illegally confiscated classified top secret U.S. documents, storing them in his Florida winter home? Was Special Counsel Robert Mueller on to something with the Russia Probe? Was trump selling U.S. secrets? Or again, was it simply one of the following (unhinged synonyms) describing his unfit state of mind:

deranged
demented
unbalanced
out of one's mind
crazed
mad

Football's Fabulous Females

With the 2022 Raiders football season set to kick-off in less than two weeks, we must give a shoutout to those "fabulous females" who celebrate 60 years of gameday support and community service.

The Raiderettes have been a part of the Raiders organization since 1961, one year after the franchise's inaugural season. They are as much a part of Raiders history and Raiders mystique as any one play, player, coach, or championship team. Win, Lose or Tie, our Raiderettes always look fly on the field. And they dress in Silver and Black!

The Raiders organization acknowledged their fabulous females' 60-years of contributions to football, with an alumni weekend reunion and half-time celebration during the preseason opener.

Thank you for your service Raiderettes!

Once a Raiderette, Always a Raiderette.

That’s been the case for the Las Vegas Raiderettes for six decades and as they come close to celebrating their 60th anniversary over the weekend, they will have the opportunity to welcome back alumni to their new home of Las Vegas.

Raiderettes from every decade since the inaugural season in 1961 will gather in Las Vegas and reminisce about their time as members of the best cheerleading team in sports history.

"I don't think Vegas knows what's about to hit them," said Raiderettes Director Tiphanie McNiff. "It's hard to put into words what this experience means to me. Having the opportunity to celebrate with women spanning over six decades will be amazing and I'm looking forward to it."

Over 500 Raiderettes Alumni are set to assemble in the anniversary reunion, which will include a celebratory return to the field to perform a routine dance at halftime of Sunday’s Las Vegas Raiders 2022 home preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings at Allegiant Stadium.

The Raiderettes, also known as Football's Fabulous Females, have evolved from a team of high school majorettes to a top-flight professional cheerleading unit.

Since their formation in 1961, the Raiderettes have been more than just a cheerleading squad. cont'd

Historic Search of Republican Presidential Palace

History unfolded in America today as FBI agents executed a search warrant at the home of a former U.S. President. The twice-Impeached former president Donald Trump's maralago home in Florida was the site of a federal search investigation.

Never has a federal judge had the need to sign-off on a search warrant involving a former American president. But never has America been faced with a lying, narcissistic, unhinged president, bent on placing himself above the law before, during, and after serving a term as POTUS. Until Now!

In America, nobody is above the law.

George Washington predicted Donald Trump: Why doesn't everyone know this?

If Republicans really want to Make America Great Again, they need to listen to Washington – and dump Trump

PUBLISHED JUNE 13, 2021 6:00AM (EDT)

As my colleague Amanda Marcotte frequently points out, conservative ideology these days seems to boil down to little more than "owning the libs." If you manage to achieve "triggering a lib," maybe you get imaginary bonus points — perhaps the Star Theme from Super Mario Bros. plays in your head.

Well, I think it's time for liberals to return the favor. We should repeatedly bring up the fact that America's most important founding father, George Washington, warned us about the rise of Donald Trump.

No, he didn't know the man's name, of course — he wasn't a time traveler or a clairvoyant — but he described Trump's personality and actions in detail. Washington was president as the United States prepared to hold its first contested presidential election — he was elected twice without opposition — and wanted to make sure it would run smoothly. More than that, he wanted to make sure all future elections ran smoothly. So in his famous Farewell Address, he outlined what an enemy of this democratic process might look like. The speech was published during the 1796 election between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the two great rivals of early American politics.

The most relevant section of the document (most of which reads as fairly antiquated today) is pretty much a giant spoiler alert for everything Trump did to undermine the results of the 2020 election, an effort that began long before a single ballot had been cast. When you get right down to it, one of the likeliest ways for American democracy to reach its breaking point would be if a presidential candidate refused to accept the will of the people. More than two centuries before that happened, Washington foresaw exactly how it would go down.

Although the ideas were entirely Washington's the address was largely written by Alexander Hamilton. At one point, the man on the one dollar bill warns that partisanship could lead to the rise of a dictator. Decrying the "baneful effects of the spirit of party generally," he argued that if partisanship reaches a fever pitch, it could "gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual."

Washington also warned that hyper-partisanship "opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions." He was worried that these factors could facilitate the rise of "cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men" who would manipulate partisan anger to "subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."

The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Trump is, to a T, what the Father of His Country predicted. Opponents of Trump, Trumpers and Trumpism need to bring this up waaaaaaay more often.

For what it's worth, I was tempted to bring up two other relevant sections of Washington's Farewell Address. One, which pertains to foreign policy, prophesied the rise of American imperialism and is interesting for that reason, but isn't directly relevant here. The other, which denounces "all obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities," I simply don't support. True, that suggests Washington would clearly have disapproved of the Jan. 6 rioters and their defenders, but not necessarily for the right reason. The problem with the Capitol attack, at its core, is that it was a battle for a baseless and unjust cause. If the rioters had been fighting for human rights rather than fascism — like the civil rights protests of the 1960s, or at least a cause better than shared omnipotence with a malignant narcissist — their actions might have been theoretically defensible.

In any case, those who fight for democracy today should embrace Washington's Farewell Address. We don't need to pretend that Washington was an impeccable and virtuous hero, or look past his numerous flaws. But he wasn't wrong about democracy. His greatest achievement was not defeating the British in the Revolutionary War. It was leaving office in 1797 and handing the reins to Adams, his elected successor — establishing a precedent that Adams knew he had to follow four years later, when he lost his rematch with Jefferson in the bitterly contested election of 1800. It was the precedent that every president followed until Trump lost to Biden in 2020. Washington showed that democratic government could function, for the first time in modern history, because the nation's leaders would respect the will of the people.

I once attended a reenactment of Adams' inauguration as part of my journey covering Barack Obama's second inauguration for Mic (then PolicyMic) in 2013. When the tour guide read from a contemporary account describing the tension in the room as people wondered whether Washington's troops would arrest Adams so the first president could stay in power, it felt like a bizarre account from ancient history. Only eight years later, the very people who would claim to venerate Washington's footsteps have made that 1797 report seem like this week's headlines.

Washington stepping down from power was the first thing that made America great. If Republicans really want to Make America Great Again, they need to heed Washington's message — and dump the "cunning, ambitious and unprincipled man" on whose behalf they seem willing to destroy democracy.

Football Is Back!

Raiders RB Ameer Abdullah caps his 8-yard rushing touchdown scamper with impressive roundhouse kick

Thursday Night Football saw the first game of the season as the Raiders faced off against the Jaguars in Canton, Ohio. Yes, it was the Pro Football Hall of Fame game, and this year the Raiders see another silver & black soldier inducted into football's collection of greats. Wide Receiver Cliff Branch will be inducted posthumously come Saturday. His induction is long overdue.

I met Cliff once, and can honestly say the man was a solid, honorable person who loved football, loved people and just straight up loved life. Although, it's a crying shame Cliff wasn't given the honor of induction into the Hall while alive, we who were privileged to have met and/or known the man will raise a glass to this weekend's tribute to #21 of the Oakland Raiders.

Raider Nation should hold their heads just a bit higher this weekend, knowing that a man who helped put three Super Bowl Championships in the silver & black trophy case, continues to bring Pride and Poise to the teams' legacy. Cliff Branch was and will always be a standard-bearer for Raiders players and fans commitment to excellence. A gentle man who brought pride and poise to a pirate ship full of rebels and renegades.

Last night's exhibition game win over the Jaguars showed the Raiders are taking long strides toward contending for an NFL Championship in 2022-23. I know it was only an exhibition game, but the new coaching staff had the team ready to play like it was the first game of the regular season. The Raiders had 6 for 46 yards on penalties, with none committed at a crucial time in the game. They had close to a 10-minute advantage in time of possession. They held the Jags to 1 rushing first down and only 3-12 on third down efficiency. The Raiders offense, defense, and for the most part special teams were on point. 3-4 in the Red Zone while limiting your opponent to 1-1 (that's one red zone visit allowed for the game).

The off-season brought change to the Raiders coaching staff and some player personnel. Rule changes and player safety continue to force football players and teams to make adjustments in their game. But as much as we see things change in football, we see the basic things remain the same: pass-catch-run-tackle-block-kick. The schemes and plays might change along with some players, but the goal is still the basic requirement Al Davis so eloquently laid out for his team; "Just Win Baby"

The Raiders executed the basics of football to near perfection in their pre-season debut. It looks as if this could be the season everything falls in place and the Raiders find themselves competing for the Lombardi. If any team is due for receiving a blessing from the football God's, especially after so many team trials and tribulations, who but the Raiders fit that mold.

Hear my plea Al. If you have the ear of the Big Guy up there in the Sky, ask he forgive us our trespasses and consider returning our team to the days of glory that was Raiders football. And let Cliff do the explaining - Amen
