The USA Soccer team pulled off the equivalent of a baseball walk-off home run. Well, Almost equivalent anyway. Bottom line, facing elimination in the closing "stoppage time" minutes of a hard fought World Cup game against Algeria, the USA punched in a goal and went on to win the game 1-0.
USA is showing their "fight to survive" mentality in these games. They've scored in the last minutes of games to claim a draw or win and keep their World Cup hopes alive.
